We had out of state family visit over the weekend and yesterday (Monday, 18 February 2013) decided to paint this smaller watercolor "Grazing in the High Country" on 5"x7" Canson Watercolor Greeting Card.
"Cactus Blossom Splendor" is a watercolor and acrylic painting on 9"x12" Watercolor Paper started very late last night that I finished today. It is from a photo I took a few years ago while visiting family in Arizona that I'd been waiting to paint. I really like the way it turned out.

My dear Ana Mar, thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments. I don't know why I didn't get notification of your post but just now noticing, apologies. Your comments, particularly about the brightness and color, are wonderful to hear as I did have a period of time where I struggled to break through to a lighter, brighter and more colorful feeling in my artwork. I honestly think my heart and concerns and state of mind come through at different times. I also made a conscious effort to add more color and light. So again thank you so much. Hope you come and visit again. Regards and Blessings!
